Privacy Policy

Mind and Body DPC operates mindandbodydpc.com. This policy explains what this website collects and what happens to it. The practice is not yet open and is not treating patients.

1. What the waitlist collects

This website has no form and collects nothing from you as you read it. To join the waitlist you email hello@mindandbodydpc.com. We therefore hold your email address and whatever you write in that message.

We ask for a first name, a zip code, and whether you are asking for yourself or a household. The zip code is used to help choose where to open and to tell you whether the location will be near you. You are not obliged to send any of it.

Please do not send medical information, symptoms, diagnoses, or medication details by email. This is a marketing inbox, not a clinical one, ordinary email is not a secure channel, and we are not set up to receive that.

2. What we do with it

We email you about the opening of this practice. The location, the opening date, the final rates, and when enrollment opens. That is the purpose and there is no second purpose.

We do not add you to unrelated mailing lists. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any amount, under any circumstances.

3. What this website collects on its own

No analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cookies set by this site. We do not track you across the internet and we have not built the ability to.

What third parties see

Loading any web page means your browser contacts servers, and those servers see your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering the page. On this site that means our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs for security, and Google Fonts, which serves the two typefaces. Neither receives any information about you from us.

Email you send to hello@mindandbodydpc.com passes through our email provider and is delivered to a mailbox we control. Your own email provider also holds a copy, as it does with every message you send. Ordinary email is not encrypted end to end, which is the reason we ask you not to put medical information in it.

4. How long we keep it

Until the practice opens and you either enroll or tell us you are not interested, and for a reasonable period after that for our own records. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

5. Leaving the list

Reply to any email we send, or write to hello@mindandbodydpc.com, and ask to be removed. We do it promptly. We do not ask why and we do not try to talk you out of it. Any bulk announcement we send will also carry an unsubscribe link.

6. Your rights in California

California residents have rights under state privacy law to know what personal information is collected about them, to request a copy, to request correction, and to request deletion. California law also gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right exists and we will honor any request made under it.

To exercise any of these rights, email us. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult. We will not treat you differently for asking.

7. Health information and HIPAA

HIPAA protects information created in the course of treatment. This website does not create that. Nothing collected through this waitlist is protected health information, and this policy does not describe HIPAA obligations.

When the practice opens and begins treating patients, it will issue a separate Notice of Privacy Practices covering your medical records. That notice, not this policy, will govern your health information.

8. Children

This website is directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this site. An adult may tell us that a membership would include children, and that answer alone contains no information about the child.

9. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and the waitlist data sits with a provider that encrypts it in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it. No one can honestly promise a system is unbreakable, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will tell you promptly and tell you what we know.

10. Changes

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. A material change gets an email to the list rather than a quiet edit.
